Guess what happened today...I graduated. We presented our campaign to the client today and then this afternoon we found out that our group won the business. That means that our book/presentation are almost guaranteed an A. I am so happy that I am finally done :). Now to find a job..oh joy. Ok, time for bed, I got up at an ungodly hour this morning and I am pooped.
I just witnessed the cutest thing. I had a small dish of water out for my kitty and she was drinking from it like normal, but then she started dipping her left front paw in the water and then licking off the water. Now at first I thought it was to help her clean her paw, but she kept using the same paw and doing it over and over again. It seemed she was using her paw to scoop up water so she could drink faster. It was the cutest and most amazing thing.
This is an interesting video that I found the link to on one of my LJ communities. It is completely work safe, doesn't necessarily require sound, but it helps the video move along better if you can listen to it with sound.
I am waiting for my body to cooperate so I can get some sleep, so I thought I would post a little.
Thanksgiving was decent, wish I could have seen more of Kira, but she was busy with her house. Got to see Casino Royale, newest Bond flick, and Happy Feet. I enjoyed both immensely. The new Bond is excellent, his eyes are piercing blue and boy do the cameras concentrate on that :-P. I hope they make more of these with him, but I would prefer to not have to deal with that torture scene again, and I am sure all males who saw it are thinking the same thing. Happy Feet was pretty good, I did kinda hope that it would end happily in the middle of the film, but the end was a good one. One thing though is I kept hoping he would lose a bit more of his baby fuzz, but that was pure aesthetics.
Only one more week and two days left of classes, /cheer. I have a 3 tests on the last 3 days of classes, but that shouldn't be too bad. I will be so glad to be done with the semester, and be that much closer to being done with school altogether :).
We are finally getting some kind of winter-ish weather down here. There is thunder and lightening going on outside of my window and it is supposed to get down to 50 here, oooo :/. I will be glad that I can wear my trench coat for at least one more day this semester :).
I hate it when you are tired, but can't fall asleep...I have to get up early tomorrow to get my last session of micro-dermabrasion done, a really high tech exfoliation, but I just can't seem to get to sleep. Maybe it is from my body's aches and pains, I think I am going to have to stop wearing heels for a long while, but I just can't seem to get comfy. /sigh, I am going to attempt to get some sleep now, hope everyone in Texas enjoys the wintery weather.
The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.
The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
I was wondering if a few of you, in the Austin area, would be willing to help me out with my Advertising Research class project. My group is having to hold a focus group on energy drinks. I would love it if 2-3 of you very nice people would be willing to part with some time, at the moment Monday in the evening-ish (after 4p), and participate in this focus group.
I hope some of you can help me :), just comment here and tell me if you would be willing to do this wonderful thing.
EDIT: I totally spaced, it is Monday, not Friday. Grr, and I wonder why no one responds....
I am feeling so lethargic today. I'm not quite sure why, it's really annoying. I just can't seem to get any energy to do anything, and on top of that, I seem to be having issues with mistyping, /sigh.
Well, I dropped my CS class yesterday, I decided that since I wasn't understanding 2D arrays much, if at all, I shouldn't make myself more stressed out with a class that won't even do anything, degree-wise, for me. I still need to email my prof and let him know that I don't need the new test time for the midterms. I think I am going to do that now.
Oh! I need to make a 50x50 pixel image, of any kind(just school appropriate), for my internet advertising class. If anyone is creative and has some free time on their hands, because I seem to be hopeless at figuring out paint shop, could you make me a pretty 50x50 pixel image(jpg) that I can use for my class(just a way of identifying us, not the meat of the assignment - if you a feeling iffy about doing my work for me :-P ).
Now off to email my prof.
Edit: I just got an email telling me that someone found my UT ID and turned it in, one I am glad it was turned in, two it's sad that I didn't even notice it was gone until I got that email. Guess this shows how entirely out of it I am today, /sigh.
As you all know, I have a cat. Now my cat absolutely adores these toy mice that I get her to play with. The problem is that when she plays in the kitchen, they get knocked under the refrigerator a lot. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to get these mousies out from under my fridge. I have tried the end of a spoon, but there are some that are too far back and I am not quite sure if there are electrical parts under there that I am not supposed to touch. So any suggestions would be welcome.
It started raining today on my way to class. At first I cursed my decision to leave my umbrella at home, thinking the rain wouldn't be that steady. Then a curious thing happened. I was walking to my CS class in the geology building, so going down East Mall, and I looked up and just saw the beautiful ribbons of water streaming down. The rain wasn't heavy, it was like the descriptions of a light spring shower that I have heard of but rarely see in Texas. I was just in awe of the beauty of this natural phenomenom.
On another note, I took my kitty to the vet today to get her booster shots. I got another package of flea stuff and I also got a tube of L-lysine paste. Now, if anyone didn't know, my kitty had a herpes infection in her eye as a kitten and so gets flair-ups every once in a while. To prevent flair-ups and to make them last shorter periods of time I was supposed to put l-lysine, ground up, into wet food for her to eat. That didn't work. My kitty just doesn't like wet food, she takes a couple of bites and then tries to bury it. But she didn't seem to mind the paste that I gave her, so hopefully I can just work with that. I also need to go to the pet store this weekend, or there abouts, to get a small piece of rawhide, like for dogs, to see if she will be willing to chew on that instead of my shoes, wires and chairs.
Another different note, I finished my first CS assignment last night. The hardest part of the assignment was where we had to read lines of code and predict what would be the result. The easiest part, and what generally makes me nervous about programming, was writing two methods. I always worry that my simple solution is not sufficient for the job, but then it works and I worry more....
The link should be the download link, if not comment and I'll change it. The song is from the end credits of Illegal Danish: Super Snacks, a video made by Myndflame, absolutely hilarious too and just beautiful if you can get the high quality versions.
Just a warning, the song may only be so funny to me b/c I know so much about what it is talking about :)

You are an Air Witch! The Material Element of Air is at your command. Ever the optimist, you try to lift the spirits up of whomever is around you. You have a great sense of humor, and though you may have the facade of being an air head, you really are quite wise. You like to make people think, and often have a riddle or two for a bored mind. You are probably the hardest witch to piss off, but if someone hurts someone you love, you'll leave them breathless.Common Powers:Aerokinesis- the ability to control air with one's mindLevitation- the ability to suspend oneself in the airTeleportation- the ability to travel great distances or to hard to reach places in the blink of an eyeElectokinesis- the ability to create and control lightning and electricity. You scored as Mermaid. Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.
This video is hilarious, as long as you aren't an ardent Mac lover, but I still think it would be quite funny. I got it from the ubergeeks community. There are like one or two swear words, so be careful where you listen to it at.
Alignment: Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.
Race: Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.
Primary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class: Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.
Deity: Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.

If you want to sit at a booth with Katie and Carly for Forty Acres Fest, please contact Katie or Carly asap. Forty Acres Fest is on April 1st.
Stich'n'Bitch is at Katie's house tomorrow.
Pagan Caffination Night happens on about every 1st or 2nd Saturday of the month. Doc sends out an email every month telling about where and when it is. Doc took up email addys to add to the list.
We decided that Austin is definately cooler than Portland.
Doc and Kimberly talk about neat stuff about Saint Patrick, the moral of the tale being that Patrick good.
My classes are looking good so far, the only weird thing is my Management class, I have it as the only class on T/Th and last semester I had a Marketing class in the same builing, the class is also part of the same program. My marketing class was also my last class of the week, so all day today I kept thinking that it was Friday and had to keep reminding myself that it is really Thursday and I have a 4 hr day tomorrow.
